About the role
As a Guest Room Attendant in the Housekeeping department, you will service and clean guest rooms to Omni’s 4-Diamond standards. The role requires attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Respond to all guest requests appropriately.
- Complete full service for 16–18 assigned rooms per day within allotted time.
- Maintain a neat and organized supply cart at all times, keeping it in the guest room with the door shut while servicing.
- Place a Room Attendant sign on the outside of the guest door and use a door stopper when the door is open.
- Check all equipment before and after use to ensure it is in good working order.
- Remove room service tables and trays from guest rooms.
- Follow Lost and Found procedures to ensure safe return of guest belongings.
- Notify the Housekeeping Coordinator when dirty linen pickup is needed.
- Log all guest rooms into the phone before and after cleaning.
- Maintain guest hallways neat and free of linen at all times.
- Prioritize VIP rooms and clean them first.
- Knowledge of hotel facilities and events.
- Ensure the safety and security of the hotel, guests, and associates.
Requirements
- Able to maintain a 4-Diamond level of service.
- Able to work with Management on special projects.
- Attention to detail and professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Environment & Physical Demands
- Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Stand or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
- Requires repetitive motion of arms, hands, and back.
Tools & Equipment
- Phone, push-to-talk radio, cart, vacuum, mop and broom, duster, and chemicals.
