H&M Sales Advisor - Herald Square

About the Role

As a Sales Advisor, you'll provide excellent customer service, welcoming and guiding customers through the store to actively sell products while offering support and guidance. You'll use your fashion and product knowledge to ensure customers have the best experience. Additionally, you'll contribute to garment refill, care, presentation, and maintaining a clean sales floor and back of house, collaborating closely with your store team.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by welcoming and guiding customers through the store and OMNI experience where available.
• Engage with customers to offer exceptional service and guide them through fashion trends, stories, and products.
• Promote and sell products effectively while representing the H&M brand positively during all customer interactions.
• Actively promote the Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and in-store sustainability initiatives.
• Support commercial or operational actions to meet sales targets with the store management team.
• Stay up-to-date with fashion trends, products, competitors, and relevant influencers to share knowledge with customers.
• Retain and share service, fashion, and store operations knowledge with colleagues.
• Follow all procedures, routines, and legal requirements in all areas of the store.
• Give and receive feedback with colleagues to foster learning and development.
• Participate in onboarding, training, and courses relevant to your role and future development.
• Complete the full garment cycle, including unpacking, refilling, steaming, and ensuring proper garment care.
• Operate fitting room and checkout areas according to best practices and processes.
• Maintain a clean and tidy sales floor and back of house, including stockrooms.
• Support garment presentation and maintain attractive merchandise displays according to visual and commercial guidelines.
• Ensure good stock levels through replenishment routines on the sales floor.
• Maintain and follow best practices for in-store OMNI services and tech tools (e.g., Instore Care App, Click & Collect, Smart Store).
• Assist with store opening and closing procedures.
• Follow all health, safety, and legal requirements applicable to the role.

Qualifications

You should be passionate about fashion and customer experience, with a communicative, creative, and curious mindset. You thrive in a collaborative and dynamic environment and are motivated, flexible, decisive, and action-oriented.

• Sales experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
• Experience working with customer service in fashion, retail, or other service-related industries.

Pay

Sales Associates pay rate: $18.25 per hour.
