Key Responsibilities
- Manage the design and delivery of H&H projects, including roadway drainage, storm sewer systems, flood mitigation, and watershed master plans.
- Oversee hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis using HEC-RAS (1D & 2D), HEC-HMS, XP-SWMM, GIS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Direct project schedules, budgets, and scopes to ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality project delivery.
- Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring alignment with project goals and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and review technical reports, construction documents, cost estimates, and permitting packages.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff, providing guidance and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Cook up with subconsultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to secure approvals and resolve project challenges.
- Support business development through proposal preparation, client presentations, and participation in professional associations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineering, with a focus on water resources, hydrology, or hydraulics.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas required.
- 6–10 years of experience in H&H or municipal stormwater design and project management.
- Proficiency with HEC-RAS (1D & 2D), HEC-HMS, GIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and related design software.
- In-depth understanding of FEMA, TxDOT, and local agency design standards and permitting processes.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, lead teams, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
