Gynecological Oncologist - Locum Tenens Coverage

About the role

Seeking a board-certified Gynecological Oncologist for inpatient coverage at a 550-bed Level I trauma center. The role involves providing 24-hour inpatient call coverage, weekday morning rounds on post-operative patients, and managing consults directed to Physician Associates.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient gynecological oncology care with on-site presence during weekends for emergencies
• Manage a caseload of 1-2 new consults weekly and 3-5 post-op patients on weekdays
• Sign chemotherapy orders, prescribe medications, and perform surgical procedures
• Handle inpatient chemotherapy administration
• Admit patients and complete documentation via EPIC EMR
• Perform procedures such as robotic surgeries and minimally invasive interventions

Requirements

• Board certification in gynecological oncology
• Experience with robotic and minimally invasive surgeries
• Proficiency in EPIC EMR
• Ability to manage inpatient consults and procedures independently
