About the role
The Gynecological Oncologist and Faculty Member provides specialized clinical services focused on women's health and oncology.
Responsibilities
- Performing examinations, consultations, and surgeries
- Providing post-operative care and follow-ups
- Managing inpatient and outpatient therapies
- Offering emergency coverage
- Documenting medical services and completing billing procedures
- Ensuring continuity of care regardless of patient payer status
- Participating in Performance Improvement activities
- Supervising and teaching residents and students
- Handling administrative tasks assigned by the Chair
- Overseeing patient care referrals
- Coordinating with primary care physicians or specialists
- Supervising residents, medical students, and other learners in the clinical environment
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an OB/GYN residency and gynecologic oncology fellowship
- Licensure in New York State
