Responsibilities
- Perform consultations and evaluations of patients
- Recommend and perform appropriate surgical procedures including minimally invasive and robotic surgery
- Prepare and oversee patient oncology treatment plans, including chemotherapy, radiation, and palliative care
- Participate in community education and cancer survivor support network development
- Perform hospital rounds on inpatients to include surgical floor and intensive care units
- Communicate patient condition changes to physician and coordinate care
- Interact with nursing staff, pharmacy, radiology and other service lines in hospital
- Answer ER calls
- Perform H&Ps, consults, and write progress notes on inpatients
Qualifications
- Candidate must be board certified or board eligible in the specialties
- Committed to providing high-quality patient centered care
- Self-starter, from a top tiered Fellowship program
- Ready to grow a practice and become part of the Piedmont Oncology Service line
