Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical care in all areas of Gynecology, including preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic services.
- Develop and implement evidence-based clinical protocols and best practices to ensure high-quality, safe, and effective patient care.
- Diagnose and manage complex gynecologic conditions; perform in-office and surgical procedures such as hysterectomies, laparoscopies, and colposcopies.
- Support and mentor APPs (Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants) to ensure clinical excellence and coordinated care delivery.
- Maintain open and effective communication with staff, patients, and multidisciplinary teams.
APP Oversight & Team Collaboration
- Provide clinical oversight, guidance, and education to APPs in the delivery of gynecologic care.
- Promote teamwork and ensure efficient coordination across the Women’s Health team.
- Participate in the orientation, training, and performance feedback of APPs.
Quality & Compliance
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, ensuring adherence to regulatory and institutional standards.
- Lead or participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, outcomes, and satisfaction.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
Education & Professional Development
- Contribute to staff education and continuous professional development within the department.
- Stay current with advances in gynecologic medicine and integrate new evidence-based practices.
Patient-Centered Care
- Advocate for patient rights, safety, and informed decision-making.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care that emphasizes respect, communication, and education.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree with specialization in Gynecology.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).
- Active, unrestricted medical license in [State].
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in gynecologic practice (OB experience not required).
- Experience mentoring or supervising APPs strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Commitment to medical ethics, patient confidentiality, and continuous quality improvement.
