About the role
The Gummy R&D Technician supports the R&D Gummy product and process development following cGMP and/or SOPs. They work closely with the Gummy Formulation Scientist or Gummy Formulator to conduct R&D daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Pick and transport raw materials from the warehouse to make pilots, return them to their appropriate locations, and complete raw materials transactions in ERP system.
- Clean and sanitize machinery and equipment used in the department to prepare them for subsequent use.
- Weigh, blend, heat, and process raw materials for new and existing formulas according to cGMP and/or SOPs.
- Evaluate new and existing raw materials and finished product results, maintaining accurate records.
- Prepare prototypes and perform physical tests on benchtop and in process measurements, documenting findings.
- Maintain lab space cleanliness and organize it for efficient use.
- Support new product launches by monitoring scale-up and commercialization runs, communicating feedback and suggestions.
- Adhere to company guidelines, including cGMP, SOPs, and safety procedures.
- Interface with internal departments such as maintenance, purchasing, manufacturing, inventory control, quality assurance/quality control, sales, and customer service as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and 2 years of lab and/or manufacturing experience, or Bachelor's degree within a science field.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness, and quality improvement.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations and mix solutions accurately.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially in English (Spanish proficiency a plus).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Accurate typing ability and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Qualifications

Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00. The compensation offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and/or education.
