What You Will Do

• Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems
• Removal and installation of panels and components
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues
• De-fueling aircraft
• Engine removal/installations
• Operating ground support equipment
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components
• Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling
• Navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases using basic computer skills
• Effectively and clearly communicate (speak, write, read) in English
• Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Education

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Experience Levels

AMT I: Airframe or Powerplant license required (Airframe preferred). 0-2 years of experience in aviation maintenance, avionics, or similar. Limited to moderate knowledge of general maintenance aspects; requires close supervision of general maintenance tasks.

AMT II: Airframe or Powerplant license required (Airframe preferred). 2-4 years of experience working in aviation maintenance. Experience on corporate aircraft preferred but not essential. Considerable knowledge of the job and general maintenance aspects; requires general supervision on routine maintenance and more detailed instruction for new or special assignments.

AMT III: Airframe license required; Powerplant license highly preferred. 4-6+ years' experience in aviation maintenance. Experience on corporate aircraft highly preferred but not essential. Full knowledge of general, detailed, and special assignments in aircraft maintenance.

AMT IV (Master): Airframe and Powerplant license required. 6+ years' experience in aviation maintenance. Must have extensive experience on corporate aircraft platforms. Subject matter expert in all areas of the job.

Physical & Mental Requirements

• Lifts 50 lbs; routine walking, bending, squatting, or sitting
• Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands
• Climb ladders and stairs; work in small, restricted areas
• Standing for long periods of time
• Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines
• Troubleshoot or evaluate system operation
• Work with others in a professional manner

Supervision & Working Conditions

Work under supervision of assigned Team Leader and Director of Maintenance. May be directed to supervise other technicians in some capacity.

Work is performed in a hangar environment subject to extreme temperature variations from very cold to very hot. Work outside during aircraft runs will occur. Varied positions in and around the aircraft.

Equipment used includes personal hand tools supplied by the mechanic, pneumatic/hydraulic/electrical equipment, jacks/stands/lifts, tugs, power carts, and other engine powered equipment.

Pay & Benefits

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $30 - $46, with actual rate varying based on location, experience, and performance. Additional shift differential provided for alternate shifts. Other compensation includes a semi-annual discretionary bonus, 401(k) company match, and employer contribution to a Health Savings Account (HSA).
