Responsibilities

• Teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
• Work to increase student count, ensuring each student continues to grow, develop, and enjoys playing music.
• Nurture a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect.
• Embody a Customer First mindset and provide an excellent customer experience.
• Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
• Assist with customer service as needed to help build and maintain long‑term student relationships.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Partner with all students and families through frequent communication, building trusting relationships, and valuing parents’ insights as their child’s music teacher.
• Communicate with students and/or parents on each student’s progress.
• Share students’ and/or parents’ goals and progress frequently.

Requirements

• Previous experience in Music, Education, or a related field.
• Ability to teach the instrument that you are proficient in (e.g., Drums, Guitar, Keyboard, etc.).
• Skilled ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area you will be teaching.
