About the role

As a Senior Consultant - Technical Architect, you will bring deep technical and insurance-domain expertise to define the end-to-end architecture for Guidewire solutions. You will act as a key bridge between client stakeholders and Deloitte delivery teams to translate business needs into scalable, secure configuration and integration designs. You will set technical strategy and standards, lead requirements-to-architecture decisions, design and validate solution prototypes, and guide build, testing, deployment, and support readiness. Responsibilities include driving technical problem-solving, communicating with impact, continuously developing your skills, and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end architecture for Guidewire solutions, including scalable configuration and integration designs
• Act as a bridge between client stakeholders and Deloitte delivery teams to translate business needs into technical designs
• Set technical strategy and standards for Guidewire implementations
• Lead requirements-to-architecture decisions and design solution prototypes
• Guide build, testing, deployment, and support readiness
• Drive technical problem-solving and communicate with impact
• Mentor junior team members and continuously develop your skills
• Estimate and plan large-scale system implementations
• Manage large business integration efforts and project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 4 years consulting or relevant industry experience (Insurance - P&C, L&A / group, Commercial lines, Specialty)
• 4 years defining end-to-end architecture for Guidewire implementations, including scalable configuration and integration designs
• 4 years of experience in Property & Casualty Insurance Solutions with Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, Origami, or similar package
• 4 years of experience working in one of the following sub-service areas: Insurance Products, Underwriting, Claims, Billing & Payments, Policy Administration, or Distribution
• Minimum 4 full life cycle implementations of large-scale system delivery, preferably for Policy Administration, Billing Systems, and/or Claims Systems
• 1 year experience estimating and planning large-scale system implementations
• 2 years of experience managing at least one large business integration effort and project team through all phases of the project lifecycle
• Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Skills

• Advanced degree in area of technical specialization (preferred)
• CPCU, AIC, ARM Certification (preferred)
• Guidewire Integration or Configuration certification (preferred)
• 4 years experience with Guidewire Cloud Claims migration (preferred)
• Experience delivering via an Agile/Scrum methodology (preferred)
• Strong Java, Gosu (Guidewire), EJB, BPEL, UNIX background (preferred)
• Experience with Business Process Modeling (BPM) tools and business rules integration (preferred)
• Experience with technologies like BEA, Sonic, IBM, Oracle, Apache ServiceMix, FuseESB, Camel, Mule, etc. (preferred)
• Strong knowledge and comprehension of standards, specifications, and standards bodies (e.g., XML, UDDI, JMS, Web services) (preferred)
• Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP (preferred)

Pay

The wage range for this role is $107,600 - $198,400. The range takes into account a wide range of factors including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
