Job Description
Skunk Works (Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Program (ADP)) is seeking a GNC Software Engineer to join a high-energy team focused on developing advanced aircraft and battlespace solutions. This position supports an ADP program with staff based in Fort Worth, Texas, and Palmdale, California.
The selected candidate will develop software and hardware solutions for complex modern aircraft and battlespaces using cutting-edge principles, theories, and techniques. The role involves understanding the impact of design choices on airworthiness and mission/platform performance.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline, with a master’s degree (or be pursuing one) preferred. They should be self-motivated, possess strong communication skills, and be able to work both independently and collaboratively with a multi-site team.
The position requires expertise with Matlab/Simulink and embedded software development skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Demonstrated proficiency in Python and DevOps is desirable but not required.
The successful candidate will be part of a high-performing team and will need to travel occasionally for team interactions and integration/test activities.
