About the role

Guest Services Representatives are an integral part of the Recreation Division with the City of Greeley and are responsible for providing quality customer service to patrons of the Greeley Recreation facilities. This position assists with daily facility operations at the Greeley Ice Haus, including processing registrations, selling memberships, scheduling rentals, and working concessions.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patrons promptly and inquire about their activities to ensure safety.
  • Deliver professional solutions to customer inquiries via face-to-face, phone, and email interactions regarding services, programs, and activities.
  • Answer and transfer a high volume of telephone calls.
  • Process program registrations, facility bookings, and daily facility use for patrons.
  • Provide comprehensive facility tours upon request.
  • Build relationships with participants, community members, and organizations to enhance customer service.
  • Participate in team meetings to maintain consistency across recreation facilities.
  • Handle and prepare food according to safe-serve guidelines; restock supplies and follow sanitation procedures.
  • Use recreation management software (RecTrac) for membership sales, program registration, facility rentals, and point-of-sale services.
  • Use Connect to Concepts for operations documentation.
  • Assist with updating marketing materials, website, and social media with accurate information.
  • Enforce risk management and emergency response protocols.
  • Process and promote membership sales at the Ice Haus.
  • Assist patrons with registrations for activities, programs, and events.
  • Maintain and update family and organization accounts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Current certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Any combination of related education, experience, certifications, and licenses that enable successful performance of the essential job functions may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of customer service, front desk, or clerical experience.
  • Experience with computer operations and software, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Spanish/English bilingual skills.

Work Environment

  • Frequent, heavy public interaction in person and by telephone, with frequent interruptions.
  • Flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekdays, nights, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Work performed in an open office environment with potentially high noise levels.

Physical Requirements

  • Vision sufficient to read computer screens, keyboards, and documents.
  • Strength and stamina to walk, stand, stretch, bend, and lift or carry up to 45 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity to operate computers, vehicles, office equipment, and complete paperwork.

Schedule

Occasional local travel within the county may be required for meetings, trainings, or work at other city buildings or partner sites.
