Guest Services Representative

Duties

• Cleaning guest rooms to standard which would involve bed making, dusting, bathroom clean up, vacuuming, and other required cleaning.
• Upkeep and cleanliness of common areas including restrooms, windows, hallways, elevator, utility rooms, reception area, break area, building exterior, carpets, etc.
• Maintaining inventory and fulfilling orders as needed throughout the hotel.
• Learning and using client-based software for some orders.
• Greeting, registering, and assigning rooms to guests as needed.
• Working front desk shifts as needed.
• Preparing guest attendant room assignment sheets (break out the house) to start housekeepers for their day.
• Washing, folding, and sorting laundry as needed.
• Tearing down breakfast as needed.
• Performing administrative duties assigned by management to support guest relations, such as room inspections, guest surveys, etc.

Qualifications

• Able to follow written procedures covering cleaning, making beds, washing linens, folding towels, ironing pillow cases, and emergency procedures.
• Able to lift 45 pounds, operate all types of cleaning equipment, clean and reach floor level, tub level and ceiling levels.
• Able to arrive on time for work and some overtime may be required.
• Able to greet all customers with a smile and pleasant verbal greeting.
• Able to take verbal and written instruction.
• Able to carry out any other responsibility assigned by management.

Requirements

• High School diploma and valid driver license required.
• Previous experience within hotel industry is preferred, but not required.
