Guest Services Host
About the role
The Memphis Grizzlies are seeking Guest Services Hosts to provide exceptional customer service at FedExForum. Training starts in July, with events beginning in September. Shifts typically start at 5:00 PM for basketball games and vary for non-basketball events, ending as late as 1:00 AM.
Responsibilities
- Ensures all guests are greeted and first impressions are met
- Maintains designated station during events
- Verifies guests have correct tickets and credentials
- Directs guests to the correct areas of the building
- Promotes personal guest relations and maintains high service standards
- Monitors assigned sections, assists with seat location, and watches for seat hoppers
- Responds to guest inquiries, suggestions, and concerns
- Follows up with Guest Relations Supervisor on reported problems
- Accepts additional event responsibilities as needed
- Serves detailed event information to the Guest Relations Supervisor
Requirements
- Must be 18 years old or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of hospitality, guest service, or similar direct customer contact experience
- Able to work in various environments, including reasonable accommodations
- Available to work shifts starting as early as 5:00 PM for basketball games and varying for non-basketball events
- Available to work at least 8% of arena events
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
- People-oriented and enjoys working in a team environment
- Professional demeanor and ability to interact with all levels of staff, guests, clients, and VIPs
- Able to lift up to 10 lbs
