Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth operation of the main reception desks, delivering the highest level of service excellence and safety.
- Issue visitor passes using the Visitor Management System (VMS) and enforce visitor guidelines and restrictions.
- Assist visitors with Health Information Management (HIM) and financial assistance requests.
- Facilitate virtual/Zoom connections between patients and families when needed.
Requirements
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma.
- Minimum Experience: Three (3) years of customer service experience working with the public preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
Physical and Mental Demands
- Working Conditions: Works in a clean, well-lighted, heated, or ventilated facility with no routine exposure to hazards.
- Physical Demands: Must demonstrate full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks. Requires visual and aural acuity, as well as finger and hand dexterity to operate computers and office equipment. Ability to withstand long periods of sitting, standing, and constant walking. Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
- Mental Demands: Ability to foster collaborative relationships, work well under pressure, organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks. Requires critical thinking, analytical skills, and flexibility. Must be able to multi-task and maintain detailed attention in an environment with uncontrolled interruptions. Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations. May require irregular hours, including evenings or weekends, to participate in operational and community events.
Pay
The compensation range for this role is $22.72 - $23.41 hourly. This range complies with New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements and does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget, and internal equity.
