Guest Service Specialist

About the role

The Fresh Market is seeking a Guest Service Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role involves leading by example, maintaining efficiency, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for guests.

Responsibilities

• Educate guests and team members on products, services, and complete meal solutions.
• Manage frontend guest flow and efficiency by directing and supporting cashiers.
• Execute and uphold cash office procedures and controls, including management of cash, keys, and the safe.
• Direct the guest service team, maintaining sanitation and cleanliness at the front end and guest restrooms.
• Support execution of digital fulfillment orders, ensuring speed, accuracy, and adherence to brand standards.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach at the front-end and throughout the store.
• Afford support to the department, inventories, and team for effective minimization of product loss.

Qualifications

• At least 2+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail, culinary, and/or grocery experience.
• Experience with electronic shelf label systems, inventory management technology, or AI-enabled retail tools.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $19.17 - $20.45 per hour.

Physical and Work Conditions

• Repetitive hand/arm movements, grasping, bending, reaching.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds by oneself.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Ability to use tools and equipment: knives, ladders, stepstools, box cutters, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Spend long periods of time on their feet and stand or walk without a break (for up to 4 hours or as required by law).
• Required to wear an approved hat, hair net, and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment.
