Guest Service Representative (Part Time)

Major / Key Job Duties

• Demonstrates and promotes a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests and associates.
• Assists guests at all times, responding to all guest requests with diligent follow through, processing reservations, registration, payment, and departures in accordance with company guidelines and procedures.
• Sells the value of ESA to all inquiries (via telephone and in person) and strives to convert them into reservations and occupied rooms in compliance with company standards.
• Collects all relevant guest information, probes for potential sales leads and identifies opportunities.
• Empowered to resolve guest issues through the Make it Right process.
• Treats all guest and associates with the utmost of respect and kindness.
• Handles collection efforts of all in-house balances.
• Understands and uses the property management system to account for all cash, check, credit card and city ledger accounts.
• Maintains an organized and clean work area behind the front desk, lobby and guest commons, in compliance with company standards.
• Periodically tours the property to ensure safety and security of all associates and guests, reporting all safety and security issues directly to the manager.
• Complies with all safety and security policies and procedures.
• Assists in cleaning any/all areas of the hotel as assigned by the manager, including but not limited to front desk, associate break room, guest laundry, fitness room, vending areas, stairwells and common areas.
• Cross-trains into the housekeeping and laundry areas to provide assistance as needed.
• Maintains overall hotel cleanliness.

Other Duties

• Performs other duties as requested by the management team.

Work Environment and Context

• Part Time - 2-3 shifts per week only; not full time.
• Work schedule varies and will include working on holidays, weekends and alternate shifts of 7am-3pm & 3 pm-11pm.
• Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching; stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• Phone calls to job site regarding application status is not permitted.
