Guest Service Professional, Golf Operations
Part-time position with Trilogy at La Quinta, located on the southern edge of La Quinta, California. Spectacular mountain views and an active adult lifestyle community featuring golf, a fitness center, pools, an on-site spa, Café Solaz, and two clubhouses.
Pay
$16.90 per hour

About the role
As a Guest Service Professional, you will support daily guest service operations for the golf course, including tournament set-up, equipment rental, and player assistance. This role reports to the Guest Service Supervisor or Head Golf Professional.
Responsibilities
- Communicate BlueStar Resort & Golf’s core values and mission to support company goals.
- Provide information about golf course conditions, daily activities, and events to team members to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for players.
- Maintain effective communication with all team members throughout the day.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and professionally address guest concerns.
- Manage and maintain rental equipment, golf carts, golf bag storage, and guest service supplies.
- Report equipment repair issues, unsafe conditions, or accidents to a supervisor.
- Welcome golfers, load clubs onto carts, direct players to the Golf Shop, and prepare carts with supplies (coolers, pencils, tees, scorecards).
- Assist players post-game: suggest dining options, clean clubs, load clubs into cars, and restock carts for the next group.
- Support tournament operations with the Tournament Coordinator and Head Golf Professional.
- Perform roles as a Practice Facility Host, Player Assistant, or First Tee Host as assigned.
- Know Golf Shop products and Club services to answer questions and recommend beneficial products.
- Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to communicate positively and effectively with team members and supervisors.

- Self-motivated, able to follow direction, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrates initiative—ability to think, work, and make independent decisions based on sound judgment.

- Flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Valid driver’s license required.

Work Environment
This position works primarily outdoors and may require driving a golf cart on variable terrain, navigating obstacles such as water, other carts, players, plants, and natural landscape. Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions and occasional exposure to native wildlife. Moderate noise levels.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to see, hear, speak clearly, and understand others, sometimes in noisy environments.
- Very active role requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, sitting, and driving for most of a work shift.
- Must use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally lift and/or push/pull items up to 50 pounds.
