GUEST ROOM ATTENDANT

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Assist customers to ensure their satisfaction
• Supply rooms with all amenities and linens
• Clean hotel rooms, hallways, linen rooms, and employee and storage areas as directed
• Clean all windows and mirrors, dust, and sanitize bathrooms in guest rooms
• Vacuum and clean carpeted areas and behind furniture
• Ensure every room is clean and everything in the room is in proper working order
• Clean and maintain workstation, stocking it with sheets, pillowcases, towels, and amenities
• Ensure all linens and towels are without defect
• Complete daily housekeeping reports, if necessary
• Work as a team with other employees
• Provide exceptional Red Carpet Customer Service to all guests
• Properly report and turn in all lost and found items
• Greet all guests throughout shift with a pleasant expression
• Report all safety hazards or maintenance deficiencies for proper handling
• Maintain and clean all equipment used throughout the shift
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and handle chemical fumes and airborne particles
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency
• Well-organized
• Ability to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Mobility and dexterity to make beds, dust all room surfaces, clean bathrooms, mirrors, and bathtubs
• Ability to walk, stand, and work on hands and knees for long periods of time
• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations, including ability to carry and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to push or pull carts in excess of 100 lbs.
• Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance in varying work areas such as confined spaces

Physical Demands

• Frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, bending, stretching, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and standing for long periods of time
• Working in small, confined areas with floors that may become slippery
• Lifting from 50 to 75 pounds to stack, store, or move materials, supplies, and equipment

Work Environment

• Mostly works inside the building
• Regularly exposed to airborne particles
• Noise level may be loud in guest areas
• Exposure to unrestricted second-hand smoke

Pay

Starting salary: $14.00 per hour
