About Small Formats

We enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is in stock, available, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor in our smallest format stores. Experts of service, operations, process and efficiency, this team is responsible for being proficient in all areas of the store to complete duties such as, but not limited to, cashiering, stocking, presentation and price accuracy. You’ll provide exceptional guest service, customizing each experience and anticipating guest needs.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs and thank them for shopping at Target.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to improve the guest experience.
• Assist guests while completing workload with minimal disruption.
• Work in all departments to keep the sales floor full, zoned, and in stock.
• Assist with truck unloads and stock product to the sales floor.
• Make changes to merchandise displays across departments.
• Conduct weekly price‑change workload and ensure accurate signing for regular and promotional items.
• Complete scans and system audit functions to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Support execution of major transitions.
• Maintain interior and exterior brand standards, including garbage removal, restroom cleanliness, cart collection, electronic cart charging, RVM maintenance, and spill cleanup.
• Accurately execute all fills (floor, liability, guest requests) and organize reserve product.
• Process inbound deliveries using the receive application to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Complete backroom daily and weekly audits.
• If certified, operate powered equipment to move merchandise on the sales floor and in the backroom.
• Maintain backroom organization, location accuracy, and follow equipment guidelines.
• Follow processes with attention to detail, monitor progress, and prioritize tasks.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as backup cashier, order pickup (OPU), and Drive‑up (DU) while complying with federal, state, and local adult‑beverage laws.
• Perform any other duties based on business needs.

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Climb ladders, scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, frequently lifting up to 15 lb and occasionally up to 44 lb without assistance.
• Reliable and prompt attendance; flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays).
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements (e.g., Drive‑Up, carryout).
• Maintain mobility for the duration of a scheduled shift.

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $18.25 USD per hour.

Schedule

Flexible work schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak shopping times. Reliable and prompt attendance is required.
