About the role

American Ordnance is seeking an Armed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our operations, employees, and facilities. This role involves performing access control tasks, routine patrols, documenting duties, and responding to potential threats.

Responsibilities

• Performs access control tasks at perimeter and internal access points, including vehicle searches and access badge inspections.
• Routine patrol of installation areas to ensure security, including locking and unlocking gates.
• Completes required documentation for assigned duties, such as search registers, igloo check sheets, repository checks, vehicle check-sheets, and explosive building signature sheets.
• Monitors for potential threats and performs surveillance and counter-surveillance.
• Documents potentially unsafe conditions and threats.
• Conducts investigations, escorts, stand-bys, vehicle traffic enforcement, and detainment powers.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or GED
• Valid REAL ID-compliant driver's license or current passport
• 6 months security-related experience and/or training in the last 5 years preferred
• Passes quarterly and yearly physical agility testing
• Must be able to obtain secret clearance

Pay

The salary range for this role is $27.67 - $29.13/HR. Final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
