Guarani Interpreter

About the role

LanguageLine Solutions is hiring a Guarani Interpreter for a remote position. This is an independent contractor position and not eligible for employee benefits.

Responsibilities

• Handle interpreting sessions promptly and professionally
• Render correct concepts and meanings according to established protocols
• Speak clearly in both Guarani and English, using proper pronunciation and enunciation
• Maintain a professional demeanor throughout interpreting sessions
• Stay calm and professional during emotionally or stressful calls
• Understand and follow industry-specific protocols and terminologies
• Ensure confidentiality and respect cultural sensitivities
• Adapt to any LLS technology enhancements to improve service delivery

Qualifications

• Fluency in Guarani and English with cultural competency
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills
• Ability to handle sensitive topics and emergencies
• Education or experience in language-related fields preferred
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must have access to a quiet workspace and reliable internet connection
• Must be able to operate a variety of devices and software
