GSRP Evaluation Data Collector Position: Washtenaw County

Employee's effective start date: 08/24/2026 – 08/30/2027 (temporary position). Must pass a background check prior to hiring.

About the Role

This position involves working with preschool children in Washtenaw County, conducting child assessments in early childhood classrooms, and supporting Michigan’s state-funded Prekindergarten program, Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP).

Responsibilities

• Complete mandatory training in late August (date TBD).
• Contact teachers to arrange mutually agreed-upon times for classroom assessments.
• Drive to sites within Washtenaw County to conduct assessments.
• Follow specific, standardized protocols for child evaluations.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience working with preschool children.
• Available to work weekday morning hours.
• Reliable transportation.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new technology.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Michigan’s Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) and early childhood landscape.
• Prior experience conducting child assessments in early childhood classrooms.
