About the role
The State Pre-K Assistant Teacher position at Great Lakes LovetoLearn involves instructing 4-year-old children based on their individual needs and program requirements.
Responsibilities
- Follow all licensing guidelines, company standards, and grant program requirements to ensure the daily care of every child in your classroom.
- Develop your ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan for children, as well as effectively communicate with families.
- Implement curriculum while creating fun, interactive learning experiences for the children.
Requirements
- Absolutely need an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Experience in a licensed childcare center or related field is required.
- Able to meet state requirements for education and our center requirements.
- Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
Qualifications
- An active CDA (Child Development Associate) in Preschool is preferred but not required.
- Passionate about making a difference in children's lives and preparing them for Kindergarten and beyond.
Skills
- Caring and attentive to the needs of each child.
- Engaged in developing effective communication skills and observation techniques.
- Knowledgeable in child care, preschool, and developmental topics through extensive training.
- Creative in implementing curriculum and creating engaging learning experiences.
