GSOC Analyst - Night Shift

About the role

Control Risks is seeking a qualified Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Analyst to support a prominent client in managing and mitigating security risks associated with their global operations. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in the monitoring and assessment of various threats that may impact the integrity and safety of personnel, assets, and operations. This role will be part of a 24/7/365 function, requiring holiday and weekend work on the Night Shift, covering 11:00 pm ET–8:00 am ET either Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Monitor worldwide events; identify events with the potential to impact the Client's personnel, assets, and operations (e.g., natural disasters, transportation disruptions, political instability, terrorism, crime, and geopolitical developments).
• Draft and review concise notifications for distribution to the Client's decision-makers and global security leaders.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of other global security professionals in support of the GSOC's 24/7/365 operations.
• Facilitate the Client's crisis management response; coordinate incident escalations and emergency communications to site, regional, and enterprise-level global security leadership.
• Track, monitor, and mitigate any potential risks to executive and company C-suite leadership during travel.
• Conduct detailed written and verbal situation briefings to global security executives and higher.
• Participate in training and exercises to ensure GSOC team proficiency and compliance with standard operating procedures.
• Conduct after-action reviews (AARs) to identify lessons learned and best practices.
• Work with the Client's Global Security team and vendors.
• Collaborate with Global Security's Protective Services and Systems & Technology team.
• Exhibit diplomacy, professionalism, and calm under pressure during critical incidents.
• Multi-task and track multiple occurring events.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., international relations, security studies, political science) is preferred.
• A minimum of 1–3 years of experience in corporate security, governmental security, or an equivalent role is required.
• Familiarity with global risk intelligence tools and incident response protocols is essential.
• Experience with emergency mass notification and travel risk management systems is advantageous.
• Ability to analyze open-source information critically and to conduct thorough incident assessments.
• Proficiency in professional communication, both verbal and written, to effectively disseminate information.
• Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, reflecting professionalism and composure under pressure.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $70,000–$80,000 per year. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Schedule

Night Shift: 11:00 pm ET–8:00 am ET, either Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday.
