GSE Closing Analyst
About the role
The Closing department facilitates loan closings, coordinating with underwriting, producers, borrowers/clients and working closely with internal and external counsel to ensure smooth and efficient customer service. Closing is also responsible for ensuring compliance with investor legal requirements and exercising quality control over data provided to our investors as well as to internal groups, such as accounting, servicing, and asset management.
Responsibilities
- Provide closing support to the Closing Officers with a particular emphasis on data management, due diligence review, and document preparation.
- Close assumptions, supplementals and vanilla agency loans under the supervision of a senior closing officer.
- Support Delivery Management. Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage receipt and review of due diligence items and ensure all necessary participants receive copies.
- Track rate lock and closing special conditions.
- Generate amortization schedules.
- Prepare escrow analyses.
- Aid in drafting commitments.
- Generate accounting workbooks for review by Closing Officer and coordinate with Loan Funding and the warehouse lender to set loans up for funding.
- Prepare reconciliation of application fee and third party costs.
- Back up the closing analyst responsible for the preparation of income notices and the follow up on servicing set up issues.
- Ensure that data in Salesforce is complete and accurate throughout the process.
- Generate Midland HML within required timelines.
- Ensure that documents needed within 48 hours for loan set up are received and placed in the Servicing Deliverables folder.
- Follow up with counsel if documents are not received by required deadline.
- Prepare C&D commitments and submissions on Fannie Mae deals.
- Prepare Funding Express submissions on Fannie Mae deals and provide necessary information and back up support to the Early Funding Desk.
- Review C&D and the final 4662 before submission of the loan for securitization to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Track and follow up on post closing requests from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
- Provide backup support to Delivery Management.
- Assist with deliveries, Ginnie Mae pool set ups, investor communication, and the tracking and follow up on open post closing items.
- Assist with the closing of HUD IRR deals.
- Communicate and problem-solve daily with teammates, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders, often in combination with travel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1+ years of experience in the corporate workforce

Pay
An employment offer is based on the applicant’s relevant work experience, applicable knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data. The estimated base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $60,000 plus discretionary bonus.
Schedule
Attendance is generally required from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm local time, Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
