About the role

The role is a leadership position within the Global Supply Chain Organization, focusing on manufacturing/warehouse operations, supply chain systems and processes, launch execution and scheduling, and material management. The incumbent acts as a liaison between various departments and suppliers to resolve issues and provide support.

Responsibilities

  • Executes deliverables in support of the supply chain organization's business objectives
  • Guides one of the key areas within the Global Supply Chain to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded in areas such as customer, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product, and financial initiatives
  • Communicates to all levels of the organization, within the function as well as other functions and suppliers
  • Supports relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers
  • Understands and assesses complex supply chain issues and leads teams to successfully resolve issues, minimizing impacts to vehicle production
  • Affirms supplier schedules and their impact on vehicle assembly production
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to develop creative solutions
  • Handles very complex capacity constraint issues to resolution with the goal to eliminate potential plant disruptions and reduce premium transportation
  • Analyzes metrics supporting supplier critical issues or sufficiency plan resolution
  • Is flexible and at times works extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution
  • Travels to plant locations when required for onsite support of launch and build-out
  • Problem tackles complete issues and implements new and innovative strategies
  • Has deep understanding of Supply Chain functions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or Management related or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience leading salaried teams
  • 5+ years of global supply chain experience
  • Prior project management experience
  • Prior manufacturing process experience
