About the role

A Grower at Oishii contributes to exceptional product development and plant health by working cross-functionally to ensure the success of short-term and long-range goals in both production farms and R&D farms. Growers serve as subject matter experts to production teams, monitoring and problem-solving for plant health, diseases, pests, environmental stresses, quality, and yield opportunities. The role is hands-on and strategic, with a large portion of time spent in the farm with plants.

Responsibilities

• Execute deployment initiatives to achieve yield and quality KPIs (yield and brix) across assigned farms, ensuring target environmental conditions are maintained.
• Perform daily data collection and analysis related to plant health, quality, and environmental control (including IPM) across assigned farms, and proactively share concerns with supervisors at an early stage.
• Conduct data analysis and report key messages on a daily and weekly basis through clear written summaries and visualizations; leverage multiple data sources and tools proficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams alongside supervisors to execute improvement actions related to assigned farms.
• Oversee projects or experiments in various farms to improve growing systems and characterize plant responses in controlled environments.
