About the role
Counsel and advise groups with behavioral health concerns. May counsel individuals, families, or groups or engage in prevention programs. Provide support, training and education to mental/behavioral health care and case management staff as needed.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute group counseling sessions.
- Assisting Therapists in the discharge process.
- Participate in staff meetings.
- Train new staff as needed.
- Individual counseling utilizing evidence-based treatments.
- Understand and maintain the confidential nature of all client and program related activities.
- Collaborate with IEP team members including consultation IEP services.
- Evaluate children and adolescents to risk for harm to self or others and triggers to such.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in a related field required.
- Experience: 3-5 years required.
- Demonstrated experience working successfully with people of various backgrounds and lifestyles in a manner that engages on-going self-reflection and continual learning preferred.
- Experience Negotiating, Advocating, And Navigating Systems Preferred.
Qualifications
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker [LCSW - MA] - preferred.
- Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker [LICSW - MA] - preferred.
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist [MA] - preferred.
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor [LMHC - MA] - preferred.
Skills
- Proficient clinical judgment and application of professional values and ethics.
- Integration of prior clinical experience into current practice.
- Proficient working knowledge of internal and external resources and referrals.
- Ability to advocate, coordinate, and continuously communicate with treatment plans with patients, family and the interdisciplinary team.
- Utilizes supervision and consultation regularly and appropriately.
- Engages in quality improvement projects, uses data to measure progress.
- Facilitate skill-based groups.
- Capacity to effectively communicate findings with a broader audience.

$67,537.60 - $98,238.40/Annual
