Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain group room blocks and master accounts in the property management system
- Coordinate with Sales team to ensure all group details are prepared and set up for their arrival
- Set up billing patterns and ensure the accuracy of group billing and payments
- Answer the telephone and greet prospective guests in a friendly manner using clear, verbal communication
- Provide accurate information regarding availability, accommodation types, transportation to and from hotel, rates, etc.
- Read, retrieve, communicate, and verify information including confirmation number to caller
- Input and retrieve data using a computer reservation system and utilize codes for efficiency
- Answer questions regarding hotel facilities and services, local attractions, directions, etc.
- Know, understand, and communicate applicable deposit and guarantee policies as requested
- Handle complaints in a tactful manner and negotiate resolutions such as alternative accommodations when hotel is sold out
- Interact with staff in a polite and respectful manner
- Other duties as assigned
Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous hotel or resort experience preferred
- A strong desire to make an impact on other people
- An outgoing and engaging personality
- Computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Pay
$24.00 - $25.00 per hour
