Group Legal Counsel

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Group Legal Counsel to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will serve as a strategic legal partner to group and business unit leadership, providing practical guidance on complex commercial, corporate, and cross-border matters. The position will support high-stakes transactions and key contracts while helping shape legal strategy in a growing organization. The ideal candidate will also help strengthen legal processes, leverage modern tools and AI-enabled workflows, and contribute to the development of the legal team.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Participate in strategic discussions and provide legal insights
• Act as a trusted legal business partner to group and business unit leadership
• Establish external legal support networks for specialized legal matters
• Drive adoption of legal process tools and AI innovations
• Manage performance and career development of legal team members
• Provide legal support for key contracts and high-risk matters
• Facilitate M&A activity and negotiate purchase agreements

Qualifications

• Law degree with significant corporate or commercial law experience
• 7+ years of experience in a legal advisory role within a corporate or legal firm
• Proficiency in commercial contract negotiation and risk assessment
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Experience in M&A, compliance, and cross-border legal issues

Pay

$160,000 – $200,000 annually
