Group Leader Quality

Responsibilities

• Affirm the validity of the Quality System and processes.
• Identify personnel training requirements related to new equipment and processes.
• Improve people and processes to reduce costs, enhance competitiveness, and drive growth.
• Schedule and train employees.
• Perform and monitor quality checks across all departments to prevent defects.
• Determine and manage substandard product and raw materials, deciding on their disposition.
• Enter vendor complaints into SAP.
• Manage quality incident investigations to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures.
• Oversee sorting activities, establish standards, mentor temporary employees, and maintain SAP entries.
• Perform customer and internal sampling requirements.
• Manage the quality lab in the supervisor's absence, including testing, calibrations, troubleshooting, housekeeping, and training.
• Generate COA’s, EOM reports, and perform color management.
• Collect and record quality assurance testing data.
• Perform SAP functions to hold finished goods for rework and release upon completion.
• Ensure department integrity through compliance with safety and AIB standards.
• Compose letters for samples and retain and rotate color samples in the facility inventory.
• Comply with safety and SQF standards.
• Perform other organizational duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• H.S. education or equivalent.
• Advanced Excel and SPC knowledge are desired.
• CI Inspector and Lead person qualifications.
• Good color vision, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
• Proven track record of identifying opportunities and implementing improvements.
• Leadership qualities, excellent communication, and organizational skills.
