Purpose Statement
To clarify and enhance the Line Lead’s ability to conduct daily activities, accomplish Rich Products Corp. objectives, provide customers with the best product, value, and service, and maintain a safe, clean environment that promotes quality, productivity, and a healthy workplace.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production schedule execution, ensuring compliance with customer and GBI specifications.
- Maintain or exceed manufacturing standards, yields, and efficiencies.
- Promote continuous improvement and quality of work life for all employees.
- Ensure all required production documentation is completed according to GBI policies.
- Train line employees on rules, regulations, safety, good manufacturing practices (GMPs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and job expectations.
- Resolve employee issues through the grievance process.
- Recommend recognitions, promotions, or disciplinary actions based on employee performance.
- Attend and complete RPC-sponsored training.
- Assure all GMPs are followed before and during production.
- Verify production stays within budgetary standards.
- Set up computer-controlled equipment and document changes or issues during production.
- Plan for employee vacations to ensure continuity and full staffing.
- Maintain open communication channels and an open-door policy at all levels.
- Prioritize safety and report unsafe acts or conditions.
- Monitor employee performance and compliance with company rules, safety rules, GMPs, and SOPs.
- Own line performance data, including stops, MTBF, performance loss, and top losses.
- Analyze line data to identify and prioritize loss elimination opportunities.
- Act as the Centerline system owner and identify root cause problem-solving opportunities for key chronic losses.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
- Minimum 3 years of food manufacturing experience.
- Minimum 1 year as a crew leader.
- Strong math skills.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Basic computer skills.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate machinery and equipment.
- Ability to document and measure results.
- Ability to supervise and motivate others.
- Teamwork and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
- Ability to follow procedures.
- Ability to work in cold temperatures.
Pay
Hourly rate: $25.00.
