Group Leader

You will drive safety, quality, and shipping goals through hands-on training, expert problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous improvement. We are looking for a reliable leader who works seamlessly with peers and is willing to go the extra mile—including overtime—to support the team and meet business needs.

Hourly Rate: $26.35

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of safety, quality, delivery, and cost for your assigned area.
• Serve as the first point of contact for picker/packer issues and provide immediate support (the "Help Chain").
• Develop and audit standard work procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Focus on the growth of line operators through daily coaching, training new members, and distributing manpower effectively.
• Maintain 5S standards to optimize the work environment.
• Use various applications (spreadsheets, scrap tracking, schedules) to monitor performance and coordinate with support departments.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move heavier items with assistance.

Physical Requirements

• Continuously stand or walk (up to 10 hours per day).
• Ability to bend and squat frequently.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move heavier items with or without assistance.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year in a leadership NPH role (two years preferred). Candidates with a six-month temporary leadership assignment or current Backups/Group Leaders are encouraged to apply.
• Must be able to learn and perform all work content on assigned teams within cycle time.
• Basic English skills to effectively coordinate with team members and other departments.
• Strong willingness to work overtime as required.
• High School Diploma or GED.

• Preferred Background: Previous packing department experience and proven leadership history.
• Lean Mindset: Understanding of lean tools, 1x1 problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
• Soft Skills: Strong people skills with the ability to reinforce accountability and ownership through positive employee relations.
• Execution: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and make timely business decisions in a fast-paced environment.
