About the role
The Community Kids Place (CKP) operates eight out-of-school time programs in Lawrence and Methuen, serving over 400 students in partnership with local school districts. CKP provides high-quality enrichment opportunities during the school year and summer, including field trips, project-based learning, collaboration with community partners, and extended time with school-day teachers. Aligned with the DESE 21st Century Community Learning Centers model, the program focuses on academic and social-emotional growth. All CKP sites are licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care, ensuring a safe, high-quality learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide a positive, safe, fun, and memorable experience for children and families in TCG's after-school and summer programs.
- Prioritize the care, safety, and well-being of children within the group.
- Create a physically and emotionally secure and enjoyable environment for children to thrive.
- Plan and implement academic enrichment lessons in 10-week project cycles.
- Encourage active participation in all activities, helping children realize their full potential.
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor to enrolled children.
- Aid in maintaining and updating children's health, safety, and emergency records.
- Maintain a flexible attitude and support Site Coordinator/Program Managers/ Director in immediate tasks.
- Participate in staff meetings, parent meetings, workshops, and ongoing training.
- Fulfill all required certifications.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years old.
- Must possess the qualifications required for their positions in accordance with EEC Regulations.
- Complete CORI, SORI and fingerprint scan in accordance with regulations set forth by the Department of Early Education and Care prior to employment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus; ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.
- Experience working with school age children (5-14 years of age).
- Creative and fun personality to implement curriculum and activities.
- Evidence of physical examination within one year prior to employment;
- Evidence of immunizations against Measles, Mumps and Rubella;
- Maintain current infant/child CPR and First Aid Certification within two months of hire.

Benefits
- Part-time hours during the school-year 2:00pm-6:00pm, and full-time during school and summer vacations between 7:30am-5:30pm.
