Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure that age-appropriate activities are implemented for youth in K-8th grades.
- At all times, ensure safety, structure, and learning.
- Provide supervision during field trips, transitions, and meal times.
- Build positive relationships with youth and adults and serve as a role model with respect to demeanor, communication, and behavior.
- Attend meetings with staff, parents, volunteers, and community residents as needed.
- Interact with parents and keep open lines of communication.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have two years work experience in a non-profit agency working with youth.
- Have classroom management and behavior management skills.
- Be able to learn and grow.
- Have communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Skills / Knowledge Required
- High School Diploma / GED.
- At least 18 years old.

Commitment
- Able to work 15 hours a week (3 hours a day, 5 days a week).
- Able to attend 15 hours of orientation prior to the beginning of programming.
- Able to attend scheduled staff meetings.
Salary
$17.00 an hour

Application and Onboarding Timeline

- Selected Candidates will be notified and scheduled for clearances
- Clearances can take 2-4 weeks to complete
- DOHMH Centralized Trainings will begin for those who are cleared.
- Onsite Orientation for those who are cleared.
