Group Lead- 2nd shift

About the Role

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a full-time 2nd shift Group Leader to join our distribution center team in Fort Worth, Texas. The shift for this position is Monday - Thursday, 4:00 pm - 2:30 am. We are hiring for the Breakpack and Backstock departments, offering an hourly rate of $21.60 plus an additional $1.00 shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities as directed by the Supervisor of a group of associates in a designated area to maximize productivity.
• Trains new associates on department procedures and job duties, and retrains associates on methods and procedures.
• Monitors associates, identifies errors, and corrects as needed.
• Maintains accurate and efficient department operating procedures, adhering to safety and processing standards.
• Reports all discrepancies to the Supervisor in a timely manner and communicates with other department supervisors, leads, and team members.
• Handles and responds to minor issues dealing with process and operational procedures.
• Resolves operational problems and reads, understands, and interprets reports, coordinating paperwork.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment and performs all functions of the department to accomplish tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in distribution center or retail.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
• Proficiency in WMS-Manhattan and PMMS.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic English reading comprehension and numerical reasoning skills.
