Group Fitness Instructor
We are seeking an energetic, reliable, and passionate Group Fitness Instructor to teach at a high-profile company's fitness center in Richmond, VA. Develop effective, engaging, and motivating class formats accompanied by fun and appropriate playlists. Build class attendance and offer alternative movements to accommodate all fitness levels. Opportunity to provide class coverage at multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead engaging, motivating group fitness classes with appropriate playlists.
- Build class attendance and adapt movements to accommodate all fitness levels.
- Provide class coverage at multiple locations as needed.
- Network, engage, and interact professionally with clients, guests, and participants.
- Communicate effectively using appropriate vocabulary and grammar.
- Engage participants as a public speaker.
Requirements
- Current nationally recognized Group Fitness Certification or specialty class certificate (e.g., Zumba® license).
- Current CPR/AED certification (no online certifications accepted).
- Prior experience in Group Fitness, Personal Training, corporate health promotion, wellness, or related fields.
- Strong customer service and networking skills.
- Professional communication abilities.
- Competency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Pay
For residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, New York City, and Washington only: The hourly rate for this position ranges from $30 to $75. Pay is based on several factors, including education, work experience, certifications, geographic differentials, and other business and organizational needs. In addition to the hourly rate, Plus One offers a comprehensive benefits package (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements), including health insurance, life and disability benefits, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
