Group Fitness Instructor

About the role

We are seeking an energetic, reliable, and passionate Group Fitness Instructor to teach at a high-profile company's fitness center in Bellevue, WA. Develop effective, engaging, and motivating class formats accompanied by fun and appropriate playlists. Build class attendance and offer alternative movements to accommodate all fitness levels. Opportunity to provide class coverage at multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver effective, engaging, and motivating group fitness classes.
• Build class attendance and ensure client results through inclusive and adaptable movements.
• Communicate professionally with clients, guests, and participants using appropriate vocabulary and grammar.
• Engage participants effectively as a public speaker.
• Network, interact, and maintain strong customer relationships.

Requirements

• Current nationally recognized Group Fitness Certification or specialty class certificate (e.g., Zumba® license).
• Current CPR/AED certification (no online certifications accepted).
• Prior experience in Group Fitness, Personal Training, corporate health promotion, wellness, or related fields.
• Knowledgeable about the fitness industry with strong customer service skills.
• Competent with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Preferred formats: Strength and Conditioning classes (Bootcamp, HIIT, Circuit Training, etc.).
• Must be available to teach Wednesday and/or Thursday afternoons.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $30 to $75, based on factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and geographic differentials.
