Group Fitness Instructor
We are seeking an energetic, reliable, and passionate Group Fitness Instructor to teach at a high-profile company's fitness center in Tempe, AZ. This role includes teaching classes on Tuesdays from 4:30–5:30 PM PT and Thursdays from 6:00–7:00 AM PT. You will develop effective, engaging, and motivating class formats with fun and appropriate playlists while building class attendance and offering alternative movements to accommodate all fitness levels. There is also an opportunity to provide class coverage at multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Teach group fitness classes on a set schedule (Tuesdays 4:30–5:30 PM PT and Thursdays 6:00–7:00 AM PT).
- Develop engaging, motivating, and effective class formats with appropriate playlists.
- Build class attendance and offer alternative movements to accommodate all fitness levels.
- Provide class coverage at multiple locations as needed.
- Network, engage, and interact professionally with clients, guests, and participants.
- Communicate effectively using appropriate vocabulary and grammar.
- Engage participants as a public speaker.
Requirements
- Current nationally recognized Group Fitness Certification or specialty class certificate (e.g., Zumba® license).
- Current CPR/AED certification (no online certifications accepted).
- Prior experience in Group Fitness, Personal Training, corporate health promotion, wellness, or related fields.
- Strong customer service skills to network and interact with clients and participants.
- Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Public speaking ability to effectively engage participants.
- Competency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Pay
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $30 to $75, based on factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, geographic differentials, and business needs.
