Group Fitness Cycle Instructor
The Front isn't your average gym. We're a community built around movement, connection, and pushing past what people thought they could do. Our spaces are designed to feel like a second home—somewhere members walk in as strangers and leave as friends. If you thrive around people who love to sweat, laugh, and show up for each other, you'll fit right in.
About the Role
As our Group Fitness Cycle Instructor in Salt Lake City, you'll lead high-energy cycle classes that leave riders drenched, motivated, and already excited for the next one. This is a part-time role paying $30 per class taught and $15/hour for administrative duties—perfect for an instructor who wants to bring their full self to every session without punching a 9-to-5 clock.
Responsibilities
- Lead 50-minute cycle sessions packed with smart warm-ups, hard-earned work, and cooldowns that work for every fitness level in the room
- Show up early to set the vibe—equipment dialed in, music tested, studio ready before riders walk through the door
- Greet every rider like you mean it, learn names when you can, and build a class people want to come back to
- Coach with clear cues and smart modifications so newcomers and regulars alike leave feeling strong
- Curate playlists that hit different—high-energy, well-balanced, and built for the room
- Handle check-ins and no-show tracking through RGPro, and keep an eye on participation trends
- Keep your studio clean, stocked, and running smoothly, flagging any gear that needs attention
- Check in on injuries or limitations before class so every rider feels safe and included
- Stay consistent—teach at least two classes per pay period and line up a qualified sub if you can't make it
- Jump into group fitness workshops and events when your Group Fitness Manager needs an extra hand
Requirements
- Certified (ACE, NASM, AFAA, or CPT) and hold a Spin certification, plus current CPR/First Aid
- 5+ years of relevant experience under your belt—work, school, or training—including recent instructing experience in the last 6 months
- Knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, and training principles, and the ability to translate that into coaching riders can actually follow
- Bring consistent energy every single class, rain or shine, so riders can feel it
- Reliable—on time, dependable, and someone your team can count on
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs and stay moving for the full class
- Genuinely care about the rider experience and look for ways to make it better, every time
