About the role

The Group Fitness Coordinator for the TriHealth Fitness and Health Pavilion in Montgomery oversees all group exercise programming and related events. Reporting to the Fitness Supervisor, this position plays a key role in supporting the recruitment, hiring, training, and management of a high-quality Group Fitness team.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and managing the group fitness schedule;
  • Ensuring adequate class coverage by securing substitutes as needed;
  • Finding sub coverages, group fitness tracking, developing quarterly (seasonal) group fitness schedules and providing member engagement programs and events, every quarter;
  • Critiquing instructors and giving feedback in the moment and/or reviewing to help improve customer experience;
  • Member education: developing quarterly (seasonal) group fitness schedules, researching current trends and implementing new ideas;
  • Management: rotation of MOD (Manager on Duty) and fitness floor coverages, new member sign-ups/terminations and all other MOD duties assigned;
  • Coverage: filling in sub coverages when needed and other department locations assigned to assist Manager on Duty;
  • Revenue: meet or exceed group fitness FY budget yearly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Health/Fitness, OR related field;
  • PR or Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS);
  • Nationally accredited* Personal Trainer/Fitness Instructor certification (ACE, ACSM, CSCS). Prefer at least one special pop cert actively teaching or scheduled for a special population class at the Pavilion;
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Computer application skills;
  • Exceptional customer service skills;
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of fitness program development;
  • One to two years of experience related field.

Qualifications

  • Flexible schedule required, including evening hours, rotating weekends, and holiday coverage as needed;
  • Able to work as Manager on Duty and/or provide Fitness Desk supervision when needed or assigned.
