About the role
The Group Facilitator is responsible for conducting group clinical work at a direct client care level and works collaboratively with the team to ensure that each client’s treatment goals are met.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates structured, curriculum-based skills and psychoeducational groups addressing mental health, substance use, recovery, coping, emotional regulation, communication, and problem-solving.
- Delivers approved group curricula while maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
- Documents attendance, participation, topics addressed, and client response accurately and timely.
- Communicates relevant client observations and concerns to the treatment team and collaborates with clinical staff as appropriate.
- Maintains confidentiality, follows organizational policies and applicable regulations, and participates in required training, supervision, and staff meetings.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mental Health or comparable field is required
- 3+ years’ experience in Behavioral Health field
- Certified Mental Health Technician (CMHT) or comparable behavioral-health certification preferred; certification may be required based on assigned program responsibilities and organizational policy
- Experience in leadership with Substance Abuse Treatment and Rehabilitation models are preferred
- 2+ years facilitating groups in a mental health/substance use setting is required
- Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities is required
- Experience with Sunwave EMR is preferred
- Any other criteria required by the Governing Body
