About the role
Stonington Institute, a division of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), has an immediate opening for a full time Group Facilitator.
Responsibilities
- Provide client/family education, discharge planning, referral, case management, and follow-up for clients within the Detox/Starlight programs.
- Provide communication and feedback to other team members as part of joint treatment planning, UR, and client management.
- Provide groups focused on substance abuse education and/or education in an established area of expertise (i.e., health/nutrition for Registered/Licensed Dietician).
- Develop curriculum for and provide education components of program based in areas of specialty, client needs, and community history.
- Act as spokesperson in relaying UR, insurance, and other administrative information to requesting sources.
- Act as a facility liaison to client, family, aftercare agencies, institutions or Clinicians.
- Complete all documentation required by State and Accrediting Agencies.
- Develop a continuing education and supervision plan with immediate supervisor.
- Participate in conferences, meetings, and continuing education programs as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or one year supervised experience in group facilitation with adults required.
- Independent license or CADC/CAC preferred.
- Computer literate, competent in Microsoft Office programs.
