GROUP FACILITATOR

About the role

Stonington Institute, a division of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), has an immediate opening for a full time Group Facilitator.

Responsibilities

• Provide client/family education, discharge planning, referral, case management, and follow-up for clients within the Detox/Starlight programs.
• Provide communication and feedback to other team members as part of joint treatment planning, UR, and client management.
• Provide groups focused on substance abuse education and/or education in an established area of expertise (i.e., health/nutrition for Registered/Licensed Dietician).
• Develop curriculum for and provide education components of program based in areas of specialty, client needs, and community history.
• Act as spokesperson in relaying UR, insurance, and other administrative information to requesting sources.
• Act as a facility liaison to client, family, aftercare agencies, institutions or Clinicians.
• Complete all documentation required by State and Accrediting Agencies.
• Develop a continuing education and supervision plan with immediate supervisor.
• Participate in conferences, meetings, and continuing education programs as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or one year supervised experience in group facilitation with adults required.
• Independent license or CADC/CAC preferred.
• Computer literate, competent in Microsoft Office programs.
