Group Exercise Instructor

Responsibilities

• Provides innovative, safe, and fun group exercise classes for Kroc Center members and guests.
• Uses superior customer service in providing appropriate services to all members and guests.
• Maintains flexibility in support of the Kroc Center team in all areas of Center operation, as needed and assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• National group exercise certification required (through one or more of the following organizations: ACE, AFAA, ACSM).
• Experience in performing class instruction in a group exercise setting.
• Current CPR/AED required.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills required, including the ability to motivate individuals to exercise.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Able to work and relate well with people.
• Proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
• Must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every three years thereafter.
• Must have a Child Protection Clearance required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check.
• Understanding of and appreciation for The Salvation Army’s Mission.
