The Group Exercise Instructor is responsible for leading engaging and safe classes that promote a positive member experience, aligned with the mission and policies of the organization. The role emphasizes ongoing education, adherence to safety protocols, and active participation in staff development to deliver high-quality programs.
Responsibilities
- Preparing choreographed routines
- Ensuring equipment readiness
- Demonstrating knowledge of exercise science
- Maintaining a professional and inclusive environment
Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Nationally recognized YMCA Group Exercise certification
- CPR/First Aid/AED/O2 certifications
- Completion of required trainings
- Experience levels from beginner to advanced; additional specialty certifications and experience preferred
