Group Director, Medical (Pharma Ad Agency Experience Required)
Job Description
Consulting with Science, Creative, Account and Planning teams for the creation of compelling medical content across digital and print media
Identifying new clinical developments and implementing disease state knowledge to drive client business growth through promotional and unbranded initiatives
Analyzing clinical data, conducting literature searches, participating in medical conferences and performing competitive analyses
Engaging and informing colleagues, healthcare professionals and clients, including medical, legal and regulatory groups
Collaborating and communicating deliverables and strategic recommendations with clients
Managing and mentoring junior Medical team members
Guide the creation of clinically cogent and engaging promotional materials and ensure effective use of clinical data to reach strategic brand objectives
Improve medical literacy across agency groups and provide medical understanding on disease states, clinical trials and treatments
Guide submissions for client medical/regulatory approval processes and incorporate client and regulatory feedback
Occasional travel (less than 10%)

Qualifications
Advanced clinical/scientific degree such as MD, PhD, PharmD with at least seven years of experience in an agency (agency experience is ideal) or the pharmaceutical industry supporting marketing or medical communications
A passion for science and medicine with a proven track record of communicating medical advances to different audiences and an ability to get up to speed quickly on new therapeutic areas
Ability to lead and execute development of content, including data analysis for a wide range of complex projects, with minimal review/direction
Independently and accurately incorporate strategic concepts into projects, as well as guide others to do so
