Group Copy Supervisor
About the role
The Group Copy Supervisor is responsible for independently developing creative concepts and tactics from conception to completion (including referencing). They are experts at researching medical data and converting complex language into content that is accessible and easily understood. They serve as a senior leader of the team on their primary assigned accounts and offer backup support for other accounts when demands of the primary account allow.
Responsibilities
- Performs research and works with a variety of resources and literature to develop a range of promotional and informational pieces.
- Deep knowledge of relevant brand and client information, including strategic objectives and key performance metrics.
- Champions the execution of assigned brands’ guidelines and requirements.
- Gives clear and concise direction to more junior team members.
- Contributes innovative ideas and tactics appropriate to the client marketing strategy.
- Works with the account team to achieve the client's objectives through engaging content and effective message strategies.
- Engages in client meetings, presentations, and other client contact as necessary.
- Actively participates in preparation of materials for Medical Legal Review (MLR) submission.
- Stays up to date on advertising trends and other data regarding marketing of specific therapeutic areas.
- Functions as internal team leader and mentor to ensure all members of the team work together smoothly and effectively.
- Supervises junior team members, conducts performance reviews, prepares development plans, and sets goals for direct reports as applicable.
- Works with resource manager to ensure they have the latest information about assigned workload for themselves and their team.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience.
- 10-20 years’ experience writing for healthcare clients; agency experience required.
- Expert in healthcare industry practices, including AMA style and FDA regulations.
- Detail-oriented and solution-minded, with expertise in knowledge development and independent learning.
- Maintains consistently high standards of writing.
- Proficiency in digital and print design.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and electronic workflow management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple projects in a timely manner.
- Exceptional communication skills.
