About the role
The Group Account Supervisor is the brand champion, providing strategic input, tactical planning, and direction on multiple or large-scale assigned accounts. This role has direct management responsibilities, supervising junior account staff to implement plans in a timely, effective, and profitable manner. The Group Account Supervisor builds and maintains positive, lasting client relationships, ensures high-quality agency output, and drives both strategic and operational success.
Responsibilities
- Agency Operations
- Drives process, details, and tactical plans.
- Forecasts and administers client budgets, including estimating, tracking hours, out-of-pocket expenses, and reconciliation.
- Raises client awareness of budget impacts due to changes in direction.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of contracts and financial tools for account management.
- Contributes to brand revenue and forecasts.
- Proactively identifies and resolves operational issues.
- Solves client issues, moderates conflicts, and influences management decisions.
- Leadership & Management
- Exhibits strong leadership internally and externally, demonstrating solid judgment.
- Provides clear direction and feedback to junior account staff.
- Knowledge & Expertise
- Deep, expert understanding of the therapeutic category, audience, and multiple channels.
- Basic knowledge of at least one other category and audience.
- Continuously learns and applies new technologies.
- Serves as a point of authority for the therapeutic area and proactively identifies market opportunities.
- Ensures team adherence to agency processes and leads problem resolution.
- Strategy & Vision
- Develops communication objectives and strategies (e.g., marketing/brand platform briefs).
- Identifies key issues while driving both big-picture thinking and detailed execution.
- Addresses strategic marketing issues and proposes viable solutions.
- Communicates a clear, expert point of view as a marketing partner to clients.
- Planning & Execution
- Conducts high-level analysis of category, research, and competitive data.
- Develops marketing/brand platform briefs and owns the agency process.
- Shows resourcefulness in developing tactical plans, including budgets and timelines.
- Supervises and manages the production of client-approved marketing tools.
- Collaborates on creative brief development and assumes responsibility for writing marketing communications plans.
- Communicates key client issues and initiatives to the team accurately and in a timely manner.
- Client Relationship
- Builds trusting relationships with client counterparts, seen as strategic and integral to the account.
- Maintains frequent, positive client contact with key stakeholders.
- Ensures alignment on brand strategy and positioning across the client, account team, and internal departments.
- Understands, communicates, and advocates the agency’s point of view.
- Presents complex data or messages clearly and compellingly to clients.
- Leads timely, accurate client documentation and correspondence.
Requirements
- Exhibits integrity, trust, and self-development.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience in a healthcare communications environment preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant experience.

Pay
Compensation range: USD $97,375.00 - USD $139,965.00 annually. Compensation will be determined based on skills, qualifications, and experience, consistent with applicable law.
